以賽亞書Isaiah 57:15
15 因為那至高至上、永遠長存、〔原文作住在永遠〕名為聖者的如此說、我住在至高至聖的所在、也與心靈痛悔謙卑的人同居、要使謙卑人的靈甦醒、也使痛悔人的心甦醒。

(A) 求主不要記念先祖的罪孽
以賽亞書Isaiah 64:9
9 耶和華阿、求你不要大發震怒、也不要永遠記念罪孽．求你垂顧我們、我們都是你的百姓。
9 Do not be furious, O Lord, Nor remember iniquity forever; Indeed, please look—we all are Your people!
以賽亞書Isaiah 43:25
25 惟有我為自己的緣故塗抹你的過犯、我也不記念你的罪惡。
25 I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins.
彌迦書Micah 7:18-19
18 神阿、有何神像你、赦免罪孽、饒恕你產業之餘民的罪過．不永遠懷怒、喜愛施恩。19 必再憐憫我們、將我們的罪孽踏在腳下、又將我們的一切罪投於深海。
18 Who is a God like You, Pardoning iniquity. And passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy. 19 He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.
(B) 願神以慈悲快迎著我們
哈巴谷書Habakkuk 3:2b
2b 耶和華阿、求你在這些年間復興你的作為、在這些年間顯明出來、在發怒的時候、以憐憫為念。
2b O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy.
詩篇Psalm 25:6,7
6 耶和華阿、求你記念你的憐憫和慈愛．因為這是亙古以來所常有的。
7 求你不要記念我幼年的罪愆、和我的過犯。耶和華阿、求你因你的恩惠、按你的慈愛記念我。

二、因祢名的榮耀，為祢名的緣故

以賽亞書Isaiah 1:18
18 耶和華說、你們來、我們彼此辯論．你們的罪雖像硃紅、必變成雪白．雖紅如丹顏、必白如羊毛。
18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord,“Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.
以賽亞書Isaiah 43:7
7 就是凡稱為我名下的人、是我為自己的榮耀創造的、是我所作成、所造作的。
7 Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.”
哥林多前書1 Corinthians 10:31
31 所以你們或喫或喝、無論作甚麼、都要為榮耀神而行。
31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
耶利米書Jeremiah 14:7
7 耶和華阿、我們的罪孽、雖然作見證告我們、還求你為你名的緣故行事．我們本是多次背道、得罪了你。
7 O Lord, though our iniquities testify against us, Do it for Your name’s sake; For our backslidings are many, We have sinned against You.
耶利米書Jeremiah 14:21
21 求你為你名的緣故、不厭惡我們、不辱沒你榮耀的寶座．求你追念、不要背了與我們所立的約。
21 Do not abhor us, for Your name’s sake; Do not disgrace the throne of Your glory. Remember, do not break Your covenant with us.
結論
詩篇Psalm 79:5
5 耶和華阿、這到幾時呢．你要動怒到永遠麼．你的憤恨要如火焚燒麼。
5 How long, Lord? Will You be angry forever? Will Your jealousy burn like fire?
詩篇Psalm 30:5
5因為他的怒氣不過是轉眼之間．他的恩典乃是一生之久．一宿雖然有哭泣、早晨便必歡呼。
5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.
